Indian Coast Guard, which is the Indian Naval Border Force, is a part of the Indian Armed forces. It is responsible for the monitoring and the safety of mineral-rich coastal areas.
Indian Coastal Guard functions under the Ministry of Defense.
It has announced the requirement for ‘Navik’(General Duty) 10+2 Entry-22015 training for candidates who have passed +2.
Unmarried males can apply. Differently-abled cannot apply.
Academic Qualifications: 10+2 pass with 60% marks with Mathematics & Chemistry as electives. SC/ST will be given a concession of 5% in the marks.
Age: Should have completed 18 years of age and below 22 years of age. (born between 1st August, 1993 & 31st July, 1997). SC/ST Concession: 5 years. OBC concession: 3 years.
Physical fitness: Minimum 157 cm height, chest expansion: 5 cm, eyesight:6/6 & 6/9 with defective eyesight.
Selection system: Eligible candidates after checking the applications will be called for writing examination. They will be informed through e-mail in advance.
The candidates successful in this written test will then have test for physical fitness and 1st stage medical checks.
Based on the scores obtained from these earlier stages, after successful report in medical check, they will be taken for training. The trainees will be given marks as per their performance. The candidates who are successful will be appointed.
