Dhanush speaks Chennai dialect in Maari

Dhanush is donning the lead role in the film Maari. This film which is being directed by Balaji Mohan has Kajal Aggarwal in the female lead role. Others who are donning important role are Vijay Yesudas, Robot Shankar and Kaali Venkat. Anirudh is composing the music.
The film is being produced by R Sarathkumar, Radhika Sarathkumar and Listin Stephen.
The shooting of the film is taking place in Chennai. Recently the team shot in Triplicane, in the market area, for a few days, and then erected a similar set in another part of the city. The set includes a big market, apart from other essentials for the plot of the film. Dhanush is essaying the role of a slum chieftain, and not that of a tailor in the film. He speaks Madras bashai with ease on the set.
