Anto Nishanth Yeddanapalli, P S Deepika K Aishwarya and K M Senthil from the School of Excellence in Law of the Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University has won the runner up prize in an international moot court competition held in the US. They made it to final of the 29th annual John Marshall Law School International Moot Court Competition - Ambassador Rounds held in Chicago. The competition was organized by John Marshall Law School`s Center for Information Technology and Privacy Law and was funded by an endowment from the estate of Carl W Carlson, a 1933 alumnus of the John Marshall Law School There were 30 teams in all ,out of which Five teams were from India .Most of the other teams were from the USA.The Chennai final came runner up after beating top law schools from the USA such as the New York Law School, Brooklyn Law School, University of Texas, Michigan State university, University of California and University of Pennsylvania. The students from got the opportunity to argue in the Seventh Circuit Court of the United States Court of Appeals, the highest judicial body in the US.. This provided excellent learni9ng experience for the Chennai team and other teams from India. The team also participated in the third Foreign Direct Investment moot court competition held in Malibu, California, USA.
The Moot competition is organized annually since 1981.Students from Law colleges all over the world gather at John Marshal’s every year. This helps the students to learn challenging and unresolved issues of technology law.
