AUTO SERVE 2010 BY CII FROM NOVEMBER, 19.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Southern Region is organizing Auto Serve 2010, the 4th edition, India’s focused exhibition on automotive care, maintenance, service, parts & garage equipments between 19 and 21 November 2010 at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai. In a Media conference conducted by CII, R Dinesh, Chairman ‘Auto Serve 2010’ and Joint MD T V Sundaram Iyengar and Sons announced that Auto Serve 2010 will be held for three day at Chennai Trade Centre from 19th November, 2010. J.I. Mahesh Kumar, Director, CII, Southern Region was also present and addressed the media.

The exhibition will be educative, Interactive and demonstrative and there will be educational sessions on Automotive Maintenance, care, aftermarket safety and more. Automobile accessories numbering more than one hundred will be on show. Nearly 800 delegates are expected to attend. Auto Serve 2010 highlights will include; 3 Day exhibition on (Aftermarket Products, Services, Care and Maintenance); Participation of 100+ exhibitors covering 55,000 sq.ft of gross display area; Industry conference on productivity & efficiency in automotive services and components & Spare parts;  Live technology demo for vehicle testing, servicing, repairs etc; Over 20000 trade visitors and consumers are expected to visit the fair.

More than 35 sectoral associations are participating and supporting this initiative,  to name a few, All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC), Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA), All India Confederation of Goods Vehicle Owners Association; Federation of All India Automobile Spare Parts Dealers Associations (FAISPADA).

In his speech R Dinesh said that Indian Automotive sector is set to grow manifold and by 2015 will touch $ 9.4 billion of business from the current turnover of $ 3.7 Billion.

McKinsey will release a paper on the future structure of automotive aftermarket industry in India. At the valedictory session, KPMG will come out with an update on the Skill Gap report.
