Sundar C to remake the Malayalam film Vellimoonga

After stupendous success of Aranmanai and Aambala, Sundar C will donning the role of a politician in a film. He will also be directing the film. Sundar C has acquired the Tamil remake rights of the super hit Malayalam film titled Vellimoonga which had Biju Menon in the lead role. This film was directed by Jibu Joseph.
Vellimoonga that told Kerala the story of Maamachan, a 41-year-old unmarried politician, who misuses the power of khadi for his own advantage, was a bumper hit. During his not-so-big political career, Maamachan falls in love with a girl much younger to him. The rest of the movie is about how Maamachan makes it big.
Sundar C has also acquired the remake rights of Pandippada.
