The state education department has been undertaking various measures for free, fair & proper conducting +2 & 10th Standard examinations.1 lakh persons are being deployed for this purpose including Vigilance officers and flying squads.
+2 examinations start on 5th March. 10th Standard examinations start on 15th March. A meeting of the concerned officials was conducted yesterday (Thursday, 26th February) in Chennai. The state minister for school education and the secretary presided.
District primary education officers, directors of school education, director of examination board, district elementary education officers, Matric school analysts, regional deputy directors of examination board, Joint director of Puducherry, and Karaikkal education officer participated.
The secretary of school education department, Ms. Sabetha, informed during the meeting:
- 843064 students are writing +2 examinations.
- 1072691 students are writing 10th Standard examinations.
- 2302 examination centres have been set up for +2 examinations.
- 3298 examination centres have been set up for 10th Standard examinations.
- 1 lakh personnel are being deployed for supervisory work during these examinations.
