Minister of Finance, Arun Jaitley said the target in next ten years is to elevate the Indian economic growth to about 9 or 10 per cent. Speaking in an event at the Columbia University in the City of New York, Arun Jaitley said so while addressing the gathering. He also added that the government’s primary motive is to elevate the wellbeing of general public and reduce the level of poverty in India. Citing the growth of China, he said the nation has seen excellent growth as it remained glued to 9 per cent economic growth in the past 30 years.
