Police conducts midnight checks

Day before yesterday, the Chennai Police has conducted surprise checks in various places in Chennai. 896 persons were arrested on doubt. In the recent times, murder, theft and dacoity have been increased. Higher police officials are taking preventive measures. A special task force has been ordered to curb this menace. Acting on this, the task force conducted various checks in various places in Chennai. During this check, 896 persons were arrested on doubt. Drunken driving case was registered against 75 people.
