WhatsApp Calling is currently under development. With this, users can make calls to the desired numbers with ease. WhatsApp was the first of its kind mobile application that is available for use only on smartphones and is available for use to single mobile number per smartphone. The communication is very user-friendly and great. It offers real time chatting experience with friends and in groups. Media files including audio, video, photos, etc can be shared using this mobile app.
WhatsApp devised plans to make available voice calling feature in it last year. Though this facility is already available with different applications like Google Talk, Skype, Facebook, etc, it is important that the caller and the receiver should have the same app active on their phones to communicate via internet. And having too many apps will pull down the speed of your phone. As WhatsApp is highly in use with large number of users, and as they all have active internet connectivity, WhatsApp serves to be ideal for voice calls. With this, users can save much on their phone bills.
WhatsApp calling facility is currently available for a group of testers and the testing is now on. This group can communicate with each other through internet and the background call check could be performed. They need to ensure that the data that is in use for making the voice call is kept secured. They also did invite others to have access to the facility. This facility is made available for smartphone Android users alone. And now, the same is expanded to iOS as well.
