Summer festival at Kodaikanal!

The Department of Tourism has planned to organise summer festival at Kodaikanal.
One of the main tourist attractions, Bryant’s Park is already full of plants with flower-buds and blooming flowers as if welcoming the tourists!
Summer festival is organised every year in order to entertain the tourists visiting Kodaikanal in summer.
The department of tourism, department of horticulture and the district administration have joined together to plan and conduct the summer festival during the 3rd week of May.
A leading highlight of the summer festival would be the adorable variety of plenty of flower plants with blooming flowers of different shapes, colors, and sizes catching the attention and appreciation of the tourist.
An exhibition of art items made with vegetables and flowers will also be conducted. The tourists can enjoy taking photographs of themselves amidst the various art items and flower-plants.
It is remarkable the flower plants planted recently for this summer have all started blooming and present a lovely sight.
The park employees explained that a total of 3 lakh flower plants have been planted in this year. Especially, Padre Graf flowering plants, which have very attractive blooming flowers, have also been planted. New lights have been fitted in all tourist attraction spots.
Arrangements have been made to extend the timing by 1 more hour for the tourists to spend more time. Especially for the delight of children all fountains in the park have been repaired and are functioning to provide added beauty to the scenery!
