Aavin administration has decided to push more sales of buttermilk, ice creams, and milkshakes during the oppressive summer season.
Since the onset of summer, the sales of buttermilk, chilled milk, and milkshakes have been selling like hotcakes, especially over the last 15 days.
Chilled milk products are easily available in all Aavin milk outlets. However, they are not available in other cool drink outlets. The owners of these other outlets and parlours have complained to Aavin administrators that Aavin agents do not supply Aavin items like buttermilk, chilled milk, and milkshakes required by them.
On receipt of the above complaints, Aavin administration has taken a decision to produce more quantity of chilled products and distribute them to the Aavin outlets as well as other parlours.
Aavin was manufacturing 3000 litres of ice cream per day up to last February.
Now, Aavin is producing 4000 litres of ice cream daily.
Aavin was making 10 lakh packets of buttermilk daily, Now, the administration has increased this production by another 2 Lakh packets. The administration has also decided to increase the sales of chilled milk while reducing the sales of hot milk during the summer.
Production of milkshakes of different varieties like strawberry, apple, pista, almond, orange, and mango has also been increased.
Further, production of items like lassi, chocobar, kulfi, and cone-ice which are filled in plastic packets or tumblers has also been increased.
The increased production of these items will continue till the end of summer
.
Usually, during the summer, Aavins total procurement of milk per day reduce by 1 lakh litres to 2 lakh litres per day.
However, this summer, the reduction will be only up to 50000 litres according to Aavin authorities.
