Safer to safeguard women

As a brilliant move to safeguard women with the use of advent in technology, 5 engineering students have developed a new device of jewelry kind and named it ‘safer’. This will trigger alarm and signals will be sent to pre-identified phone numbers and police in case of any emergency.
 
This device is of a pendant type which is rust-proof and non-corrosive metal casing. This will have fashionable and colored stone comprising of a safety mechanism below it. This device will get linked to the user’s mobile phone through an app. When the user meets any emergency, double clicking the device will send an alert to the mobile number registered with it and to other numbers to which it is registered. The recipient will be able to track the location of user with the help of GPS.
 
The device has been developed by 4 students of Delhi Technological University (DTU) who are Avinash Bansal, Chiraag Kapil, Ayush Banka, Manik Mehta and Paras Batra of IIT Delhi.
 
It is available for Rs 3500 and has already started receiving awards from national and international business and technology competitions. This will be made available for sale by the end of this month.
