Price of tomatoes surges high
The price of tomatoes in the Koyambedu wholesale market has gone high all of a sudden. Last Saturday the tomatoes were sold for Rs 18 per kilo. Now the prices are gone up by Rs 7. Tomatoes are sold for Rs 25 per kilo.
Majority of vegetables including potatoes and tomatoes were sold for less than Rs 15 per kilo. The drumsticks which were sold for Ra 150 per kilo last month came down by Rs 20. Now the prices of vegetables have gone high because of short supply.
