The results for the Joint Entrance Examination Mains for the IITs were declared by CBSE on 27th. Students who cleared the JEE (Main) exam will now be eligible for the JEE (Advanced) exams, and upon clearing that, students can apply for further studies to technical colleges. However, the cut-off mark showed a dip this year at 105 marks for the General category. In 2014, 115 were the cut-off marks. This year’s JEE (Main) exam saw tough questions because of which the cut-off marks have been reduced.

The successful candidates will be eligible to register online for the JEE (Advanced) 2015 from May 2 to 7. The JEE (Advanced) 2015 paper 1 and 2 (each of three-hour duration) are scheduled to be held on May 24, 2015.

The performance of a candidate in the JEE (Advanced) examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor`s, Integrated Master`s and Dual Degree programs in the sixteen IITs and the Indian School of Mines (ISM).
