Microsoft, the leading OS manufacturer of the world might not launch any new operating system once Windows 10 is brought out. According to sources, it would only offer existing system with updates.
A senior official at Microsoft stated that they help existing operating systems to be provided with updates. But he did not comment upon non-introduction of new operating system, since it was not all about new system introduction. All current Windows are their previous OS’ updated versions.
In regards to nomenclature for updates, decision would be taken later. Claims about shutting out Search Engine Bing and browser IE 9 is refuted, because of unsatisfactory performances. Presently, plans to shut down are not on the cards, since each product has a seven year observation period, before decisions are taken about it.
Previously, Windows XP was stopped technical support by Microsoft and is to be followed by Windows 7. But, the product is expected to undergo seven year reviewing period before services are stopped. An employee reiterated that presently they are busy developing Windows 10 and would be releasing it the last version.
Windows is expected to be delivered as service which brings new updates and innovations continuously offering value to business customers and consumers. Although future branding is not being discussed now, customers can find Windows 10 to be up to date, while powering different devices from phones, PCs, HoloLens, Surface Hub and Xbox.
