About 30 per cent reduction in price is introduced in medicines that prevent diabetes, TB, and Malaria. Medicines with reduced prices will be made available for sale in another 15 days in the market. The central government has decided to cut down on the rates of indispensable medicines as per the request by the public. Diabetes, TB, Malaria, Heart ailments, neurological troubles, immunity troubles - list of medicines for all these health ailments were submitted by the NLEM to NPPA. Following this, several assessments were carried out by the price deciding board. And they have come up to reduce 30 per cent price which was announced day before yesterday.
According to the board that decides price for medicines, it is sad a 40 per cent reduction in price was brought for 348 medicines in the year 2013. Last year, price of about 508 medicines were reduced by 30 per cent. And now, medicines of 100 different brands is set to get reduced by 30 per cent. This reduction in price will be applicable for medicines manufactured in India with effect from the date of announcement. This is believed to help all patients to a great extent!
