Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral officer has mentioned, “ 10 Lakhs applications were submitted in the poll booths on 10th of this month with regard to some changes including name changes. Aadhar details and other details have been collected from 4.73 Crore (84%) voters There are 5 Crores 62 Lakhs voters in Tamil Nadu. I will discuss with district collectors regarding the details of Aadhar cards. The data collection will be completed by 31st of this month. The final camp will be held on 24th. Separate applications for inclusion of names, change in name, removal of name and change of address are being issued. In future a single application will be issued.”
