Mild earthquake tremors felt in Chennai!

Following a powerful earthquake strike in Nepal which was felt strongly in some parts of North India today (Tuesday, 12th May), the fallout as an impact was felt as mild tremors in some parts of Chennai Metro City as well!
Tremors were felt in Valasaravakkam, Santhome and parts of Kodambakkam.
This was confirmed by the Seismology Unit of the Regional Meteorological Center who informed that the tremors were felt as a result of the 7.1 magnitude quake epicenter in Nepal.
People who were inside offices & residences fled buildings in the localities to safer zone.
The Police Department informed that there were no reports of any damage to life or property.
This is the impact of a powerful earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale epicenter in Nepal which shook West Bengal, Delhi and several parts of north India today.
