Kerala’s leading lending company Muthoot Fincorp has planned to open gold jewellery recycling centres all over the country.
The Director of Muthoot Fincorp, Thomas George Muthoot, informed that 20 Gold jewellery recycling centres will be set up throughout the country before March, 2017.
These centres will have the capacity to convert 2 tons of gold jewellery into gold bars.
He also informed that his company will appeal to the central government to permit private sector must be allowed to give Hallmark to gold.
The central government is also planning another scheme where public can deposit their golden jewellery in banks and earn interest.
The golden jewellery deposited in this plan may be recycled as gold bars and sold to jewellery trader.
