Chief Minister wishes Christians on Christmas

Tamil Nadu CM Karunanidhi has greeted Christians on Christmas festival. In his greetings he has elaborated his govt"s welfare activities towards poor and downtrodden people
He said like Jesus Christ was kind to the poor and disabled, the DMK government was implementing welfare schemes for the poor. Schemes like rice at one Rupee per kg, free television sets, cash assistance of Rs 6000 to pregnant women, and free housing scheme were aimed at helping the poor, he said.
Earlier Chief Minister participates in the ecumenical get-together organized by Christuva Nallenna Iyakkam (CNI) in which all the dioceses in the State participated on Thursday evening,
