8 crore families joint the governments insurance & pension schemes!

Central government’s Finance Minister, Mr. Arun Jaitley, informed that 7.5 to 8 crore families have joined the government insurance & pension schemes.
The minister was proud that the count of 8 crores families joining was achieved within 10 to 12 days after the schemes were announced.
The minister informed that most of the people who were not government servants do not have the scheme for getting pension.
The scheme, which involves a premium payment of Rs. 150/- to Rs. 200/-, has been introduced by the government to facilitate the economically backward community.
Annual premium of Rs. 330/- will cover insurance for Rs. 2 Lakhs.
Annual premium of Rs. 12/- will cover accident insurance for Rs. 2 Lakhs.
These schemes were inaugurated by the Prime Minister on 9th May.
PM also introduced another scheme known as ‘Atal Pension Yojana’.
