Very soon St Thomas Mount Metro Rail to be functional

All are aware that the track between Koyambedu and Alandur are ready for operations. But the problem is that the passengers will not enjoy two way rides because of cross over facility in Alandur. Now the officials say that if the track work up to St. Thomas Mount is complete, along with the cross over facility, then both the tracks in Ashok Nagar- Alandur stretch can function.
Of the 1.2 km track that has to be laid between Alandur and St. Thomas Mount, they have finished about 600 metres. After CMRL put in the necessary facilities in place at St. Thomas Mount, the Ashok Nagar- Alandur stretch can be made two way service.
