Chennai Metro Rail Project: Blocks in work progress in May Day Park-DMS track!

As the work progress in the section between May Day Park & DMS section of the track, Chennai Metro Rail Project completion may be further delays raising questions whether it will be ready as per the scheduled operation by next year.
Chennai Metro Rail project authorities had taken up the tunnel-work for the section between May Day Park & DMS. However, they have stopped working from April this year.
Chennai Metro Administration asked the contractor Afghans to start the work between DMS & Saidapet. This has been taken up by Afghans. However, there is no work in progress between May Day Park & DMS section.
