Hostel accommodation for backward class students

Chennai collector A Sundaravalli has mentioned that application forms for students belonging to Backward and Most Backward Classes seeking accommodation are available at the respective hostels. There are 8 hostels for boy students and 5 hostels for students. Students in classes’ four to 12, undergraduates, postgraduates, polytechnic students are eligible for accommodation in these hostels. Students staying in the hostels will receive food and accommodation free of cost. Only students whose parents` annual income is below Rs.1 Lakhs will be eligible for the accommodation. Application forms may be obtained at hostels or at the Collectorate free of cost. Last date for submission of completed forms is July 15th.
