Know the ticket fares for travelling in Chennai Metro!!

Chennai Metro Rail administration has announced the fare rates for travelling from 1 km to 24 km of travel.
Earlier, analysis was done based on the prevailing fare rates at Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Bangalore Metro systems.
It has been decided to charge Rs. 10/- for the first 2 km of travel. Fare for travel from 2 km to 4 km will be Rs. 12/-. Fare for travel from 4 km to 6 km will be Rs. 13/-. From 6 km to 9 km travel, it will be Rs. 16/-. From 9 km to 12 km travel, the fare will be Rs. 17/-.
Fare for travel from 12 km to 15 km will be Rs. 19/-. From 15 km to 18 km travel, it will be Rs. 20/-. For a travel from 18 km to 21 km, the fare will be Rs. 21/-. For 21 km to 24 km travel, the fare will be Rs. 22/-. For travel above 24 km, the fare will be 24 Rs. For travel of 27 km, the fare will be Rs. 29/-.
A decision whether to go by these rates will be decided after a joint decision by the central & state governments as per the Metro rail authorities.
