INDIAN NAVY SHOWS OFF ITS MIGHT OFF CHENNAI

The might of the Indian navy was in exhibition on Chennai Coast as a part of Indian Navy Day celebrations on Sunday. INS Rana, a missile destroyer, participated in the programme.
The Indian Navy personnel exhibited their specialized skills in rescuing of people from the sea People witnessed a navy helicopter coming over the spot detects the �target`, lowers the �air-crew diver` to rescue him, successfully demonstrating a `search and rescue operation`.
More than 1200 persons from the Defense and their families, and Media Persons were there on. Two naval ships � INS Rana and INS Kulish � witnessed the splendorous show and the might of several Indian Navy operations in a programme organised to commemorate Indian Navy Day here on Sunday.
The highlight of the programme was the demonstration of the close range anti-aircraft firing when illumination bombs were fired to identify targets.
