NEW SYLLABUS AS PER UNIFORM EDUCATION POLICY READY

Thangam Thennarasu, School Education Minister government of Tamilnadu announced that the new syllabus for classes II to V and VII to X as per the ‘Samacheer Kalvi policy’ of the State government is ready.
The draft of the syllabus has been made available on the website by the education department. Feedback have been analysed before finalizing the syllabus. It is up to the department to ensure that the quality of the content and the presentation, the minister said. Samacheer Kalvi was introduced for classes I and VI in June 2010 .
The same would be introduced for other classes from the ensuing academic year.
The minister also mentioned that the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) is being focused now and is aimed at universalizing access to and improving the quality of secondary education. The minster further said that the Computer education in schools would be strengthened,
