Counselling about transfer is being conducted one a year for teachers.

As per this, it is enough if the teacher has worked for one year in the place to ask for transfer.

However, a few days ago, this condition was changed from one year to three years.

Immediately, teachers and teachers association put up requests to the higher officials of the department of school education.

A meeting was organised for district primary education officers and district education officers in 10-floors DPI Complex in Chennai. Some decisions were taken during the meeting.

·         Teachers working in the primary education department and school education department will require only one year of service to apply for transfer. (This has been reduced from 3 years to 1 year).

·         It is not sufficient if efforts are taken for students of SSLC & +2  to pass in higher percentage. Teachers should strive for improving the success percentage right from 6th Standard.

·         All district education officers, School Headmasters, and teacher should strive with effort to achieve 100% success in SSLC examinations for the academic year 2015-16. This extra effort will meet with success.

·         It must be ensured that all the students receive all the 14 items given by the government free of cost in every school.

·         It is found the boys success performance in co-education schools is much better than boys studying in exclusive boys schools. This should be changed.

Education Department will receive the applications from August first week, the counselling session will begin from second week & its planned to finish the counselling  within August.
