To reframe the structure of All India Technology Education Council and strengthen it, the former Education Secretary M.K. Gove is requested to submit a report. The Ministry of Human Resource Development set up a research team under the lead of M.K. Gove during November last year and has requested submission of a report. Now, the team has submitted its report to the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Currently, students are bound to write several examinations to get admitted in a college through All India Technology Education Council. For Engineering, the student has to crack JEE Main examination. And there are separate exams for further post graduation programs. Furthermore, there are entrance examinations conducted by each state. All the universities and colleges have got their unique norms for admitting a student through their respective entrance examination procedures. Hence, a common system should be brought to all Technology Education Council. A common bard will be set up under which examinations for all India education council will be conducted.
