You may be in a belief that you are doing everything right in your kitchen, but you may not know about what can degrade you dish and the nutrients in the dishes you prepare.

There may be visible mistakes such as burning, scorching, boiling, etc, however there are mistakes that are left unnoticed in the kitchen which are even unknown to talented chefs.Not giving your meat a rest after cooking:

Every time you cook meat, you need to make sure that the meat is left to rest after cooking is done. It is during the rest period that the meat absorbs the juice evenly into the flesh. It is necessary to make sure that the meat is let to rest at least for 20 minutes before consumption.

Serving food without tasting:

Nevertheless making recipes that you are an expert in, you should always make sure that you taste the recipe after cooking. The spices and salt you use have got varied intensity of flavor. Hence, you need to check how far the flavors are developing in the food.

Overcrowding your pan:

When you have more food cooked in a pan, the distribution of temperature will be less in the cooked item inside the pan. If you need to cook large amount of food, you need to use two pans, or use a large one.

Excessive mashing of potatoes:

Over mashed potatoes are not really preferred by everyone. When potatoes are mashed too much, it will give out excessive amount of starch which will give rise to a gooey mess. To get best mash out of potatoes, prepare firmly boiled potatoes and make it to the preferred consistancy.

No seasoning done to pasta water:

You may not really know the importance of seasoning your pasta water. This is one of the common mistakes uttered by most people while cooking.
