Corporation Commissioner Reviews the arrangements for World Investors Meet in Chennai

Tamil Nadu state government is organizing the `World Investors Meet` on 9th & 10th September at the Trade Center in Nandhambakkam.

Investors and entrepreneurs from different countries of the world are scheduled to visit. As a preparation, road repair works and rain-water drain systems works are in full progress. This is being done at a cost of Rs. 3 Crores. Chennai Corporation Commissioner Mr. Vikram Kapoor visited the work spots and reviewed the progress.

3.07 km of roads around Nandhambakkam in Alandur Zone are being re-laid as tar roads. All weeds and unwanted growths are being removed from the grounds to facilitate parking of vehicles by the visitors.

Rainwater drain canals are also being constructed at a cost of Rs. 3 Crores from Thulasingapuram to Adyar River. This project was also reviewed by Chennai Commissioner Mr. Vikram Kapur. The commissioner discussed with the project officials and asked them to expedite and complete the work.

Corporation Assistant Commission (Projects) Mr. Kandasamy, Primary Health Officer Mr. Jagadeesan, Rainwater drainage department chief engineer Mr. Babu Rajendran, Regional Assistant Commissioner Mr. N. Magesan, and Executive Engineer Mr. R. Murali participated in the review.
