Marketing of high quality Aavin products in foreign countries

Tamil Nadu Minister for Milk and Dairy Development B V Ramana announced in the State Assembly today that a new ice cream manufacturing unit would be established at suburban Ambattur. To be set up at a cost of Rs 23.40 crore, the new plant would produce 15,000 litres of ice cream. Mr Ramana said refrigerators and air-conditioned vehicles would be provided to 1,500 aavin retail outlets at a total cost of Rs five crore

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has sanctioned setting up of a new Marketing Division with Chennai as its headquarters for Aavin milk and milk products in India and abroad. In a bid to increase the sale of Aavin products in all districts of the state and in other states and to market high quality Aavin products in foreign countries, Aavin has been taking a number of steps in this regard.

The marketing division was being formed keeping this in mind.
