Import Tax on cooking oil up!

Central government has increased the import tax on cooking oil by 5%.
This has been announced through a press release from the department of production & customs tax.
As per the press release, the import tax on unrefined cooking oil has been increased from 7.5% to 12.5%.Import tax on refined cooking oil has been increased from 15% to 20%.
As palm-oil and sunflower oil are imported from foreign countries, the local oil manufacturers are affected. Keeping this consideration, central government has taken this decision.
