New fees structure for B Ed course

Higher Education Minister P. Palaniappan has mentioned that since the B.Ed programme would be of two years duration from this academic year, new fee structure is being fixed.
7425 candidates have applied for 1,777 B Ed seats available in the Government and Government aided colleges. Out of 7425 candidates, 1113 are engineering graduates. Cut off marks and merit list for B Ed course was released two weeks ago.
At this juncture, the counselling for B Ed course began yesterday at Lady Willingdon Institute of Advanced Study in Education. On the first day the counseling for physically handicapped and ex-servicemen took place. Punitha, Balamurugan, Priya and Kalaiarasi who topped the merit list got their allotments.
The four received their allotment letters from Higher Education Minister P. Palaniappan at the launch of general counselling on Monday.
