Idli & Vada sold at higher prices in Bangalore city!

With the failure of monsoon in the current season, harvesting & yield of grains including pulses has been greatly affected in the state of Karnataka.

As sufficient quantity of pulses has not bee ordered from other states, the prices of pulses are going up steeply in the state.

There have been several upward changed in the prices of pulses in the last 3 months.

As a consequence, the price of the snack items such as idli and vada has also increased.

Idli, which was sold at Rs. 20/- is now sold at Rs. 30/-. Vada, which was sold at Rs. 15/-, is now sold at Rs. 25/-.

Most of the road-side shops have stopped making vadas.

Karnataka has been experiencing steep rise in the prices of essential grocery items.
