MRTS train catches fire near Perungudi station

A MRTS train caught fire on Wednesday morning near Perungudi station. The incident happened around 8.20 am in the train heading towards Velacherry.
Since the fire caught on a running train, it started spreading through the coaches. It is learnt there were lots of passengers in the coach.
One passenger was injured and was rushed to Royapettah government hospital. Train services were disrupted for a while.
