Meteorological Centre: Strong Prospects of heavy rains in Chennai for next 24 hours

Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are strong prospects of heavy rain in most parts of Tamil Nadu in the next 24 hours due to the low pressure zone formed.
The cyclonic form in the upper layers over the ocean at Kanykumari area has drifted to Lakshaweep area over the Arabian Sea. It is moving towards north and changing into a low pressure zone.
This will lead to widespread heavy rains with thunder in most districts of Tamil Nadu.
Chennai Metro city will be cloudy. There are prospects of rain with thunder in some parts of the city.
