Very poor turnout in the marriage functions

Since today is an auspicious day, lots of marriages are taking place in Thirumanam Mandapams. The food to be served for those who come to marriage was also kept ready.
Since there were rains from the morning, there were lesser crowds in the marriage halls. 3000 people were invited for a marriage that took place in a marriage hall in Maadambakkam in Tambaram. Only 500 people turned up and because of this the food was wasted. The food was given to an orphanage nearby.
One of the person who take care of this marriage arrangements said, Due to heavy rains, there were lesser crowds in the marriage halls. Hence the wasted food was given to an orphanage centres.
There is a marriage hall in Kolathur 200 feet road. Since the widening of road is taking place, a crater was dug alongside the road. Rain water is stagnating in this crater hence the grooms and relatives had to cross this water and entered the marriage hall.
