As the growing industrialisation has generated disparities between the demand and supply of water, the water treatment industry has become a key concern for our country today. This aspect and some other key areas of the water treatment industry will be discussed and debated at the forthcoming India Water Expo 2011, an exhibition to be held from April 28-30, 2011 in Chennai.

Talking to FnB News, Asheesh Maheshwari, an organiser, explained, "The expo ensures to reach target customers in the south. And with the support of everybody, we expect that the first edition of India Water Expo 2011 will be the best water event of south India, this year."

Chennai has been the choice of destination for the event where latest offerings in the market will be showcased that will help to bridge knowledge gaps on water and wastewater management for users. This will open doors for manufacturers specialising in water treatment, wastewater management and other related industries to exhibit their products and expertise.

The two-day event shall see participation from leading water treatment and management players with over 200 exhibitors from 15 countries, 10,000 trade visitors and 400 conference delegates.

"The speakers would cover the topics according to their interest and the problems
concerned to their region, henceforth the basic theme would remain confined to water treatment and it can vary," said Maheshwari.

The topic segments would include about water treatment plants, water storage transportation and distribution, equipment and components and instrumentation and control, followed by a panel discussion by industry leaders.

The event will also provide leading Indian companies, a networking opportunity through one-to-one meetings, followed by on-the spot solutions for water problems by water experts through live demos of water treatment products and making it the country`s largest job fair for water professionals.
