Helpline to trace missing

Due to heavy rains and floods people cannot be contacted due to network problems. Now Vodafone and Airtel have launched a helpline number to help trace missing persons in Chennai. Upon calling 1948 from any Tamil Nadu Vodafone or Airtel number, one can get connected to the call centre and communicate the number of the missing person along with the relationship. Within 24 hours, an SMS will be sent with details of the last called location of the missing person.
