Half-yearly examinations to commence on 11th January

Department of school education has announced that the half-yearly examinations for school students will commence on 11th January.
Due to the incessant heavy rains & floods in Tamil Nadu from the last week of November till the 1st 2 weeks of December, with plenty of holidays declared, the half-yearly examinations were postponed.
Half-yearly examinations will start from 11th January to 27th January, 2016.
The Director of the school education, Mr. Kannappan, has warned that if any schools choose to begin the half-yearly examinations before 11th January, strict disciplinary action will be taken on those schools.
