The Board of Reserve Bank of India has insisted waiving off charges on debit and credit cards, and make financial services available for all the public. The report on this request was submitted by a team headed by the Executive Director of the central bank of India, the Reserve Bank, Deepak Mohanty.

The report also insists on banks to ease the formality of enrolling mobile phone numbers of bank customers. The technology used in mobile banking has to be expanded. Further, the government has to take measures to launch schemes that benefit women and children. Special steps are also to be taken towards bank accounts in names of women.
