WhatsApp waives off annual subscription cost

For the first year of usage, WhatsApp is free and for each of the additional years, users ought to pay an annual rent to enjoy the app without advertisements. Addressing a conference took place in Germany, the CEO of WhatsApp, Jan Koum said the annual fee for using WhatsApp is withdrawn, targeting to make the app available for all users without any hassles.
There are a few changes required to be implemented for making the app free for usage. This may take a few weeks to get implemented. Users who have already paid the annual fee will not be able to get refund of the amount, he added.
