Azhiyatha Kolangal with a different story

Azhiyatha Kolangal is a film which had Pratap Pothen and Shoba in the lead roles. This wonderful film directed by ace cinematographer Balu Mahendra was released in the year 1979. Now with the same title another new film is being produced. Revathy, Archana, Easwari Rao, Prakash Raj and Nasser will be donning important roles. MR Bharathi, a former journalist is directing the film.
Even though the film is titled Azhiyatha Kolangal, it doesn`t have anything to do with Balu Mahendra`s debut film. It`s not a remake either.
