The number of tourists in India increased following the introduction of E-Visa services

The central ministry of Tourism has informed that the number of tourists visiting India has increased several times after the introduction of E-Visa services.
The ministry of tourism informed that during the year 2015 alone, over 4 Lakh tourists have visited India availing the E-Visa services.
The corresponding figure for the year 2014 was only 39046.The central government has introduced E-Visa services in 113 countries in a step to attract the tourists.E-Visa services are available in 16 airports in India.
The Tourism Department informed that tourists from Britain, USA, and Russia have expressed interest in visiting India.
