Rajinikanth paid Rs 24 crore for ‘Rana’

Ironically, if on one side Rajinikanth’s health is the main concern for the fans all over then on the other side trade is speaking about the whopping amount that the superstar has charged for his highly awaited film, ‘Ranaa’ where Rajini is playing a triple role. Buzz is that Rajinikath has been paid Rs 24 crore as a first installment.
A source says, "Rajini Sir is still India`s highest paid actor. Besides the reported 24 cr that he has already received, the family will also have a stake in the IPR because Rajini`s second daughter Soundarya is a partner in the project."
Meanwhile, the star is undergoing treatment in Singapore and will soon resume the shooting of ‘Rana’. He fell sick during the mahurat of the movie. His son-in-law Dhanush has dismissed the rumors that Rana might be shelved or it may even be Rajinikanth’s last film.
“The superstar is fine. He will be out of hospital in a week or in 10 days. And, he will start shooting for Rana,” Dhanush clarified in a statement to media persons.
