TN Governor Address Highlights

Governor S.S.Barnala will address the TN assembly today. He will kickstart the first session of the 14th assembly this morning.
Highlights:
- Samacheer Kalvi to be reconsidered. Present system provides quality education- Nationalisation of private Cable TV. Renewal of Arasu Cable TV- Free Laptop, Mixie, Grinder, Fan Scheme from September 15 2011- Chennai Metro rail to be converted to Mono Rail- Importance to Solar Power- Mono Rail in Coimbatore, Trchy, Madurai- Only 1 Anna University in Tamilnadu. All other Anna Universities to be merged with Channai Anna University - Kaliagnar House Scheme stopped. Instead Government will build 300 sq ft Rs. 1.8 lakh worth Green House with solar power for poor- Kalaignar Medical Insurance scheme stopped. New scheme with better facilities to be framed- Inquiry Commission to probe irregularities in new Assembly construction by DMK
