Chennai event - Alapadma by Apsaras Arts Singapore (February 26th-28th)

Apsaras Arts, a premier dance institution based in Singapore will be touring latest production Alapadma, The Lotus Unfolds this month in between February 26th-28th in Chennai.
Alapadma explores the beauty of poetry illustrated through dance through the depiction of the symbolic representation of the lotus as celebrated in various cultures of India, Iran, Egypt and particularly South East Asia. Alapadma will be presented on February 26th at the Rukmini Devi Festival by Kalakshetra Foundation and for the Bharata Ilango Foundation of Dr Padma Subramaniam on February 28th at Narada Gana Sabha. An illustrated talk on the making of Alapadma will take place on February 27th at 10.30am at the CP Ramaswamy Aiyer Foundation.

27th February, 2016 at at 10am at CP Ramaswamy Aiyer Fundation- an illustrated talk on the choreographic process of Alapadma
