To ensure fair and equal distribution of tickets, a lottery system has been created for the seven most anticipated matches. These are the 4 matches in which India will play, the semi final and the final. Those asking for tickets will be enrolled in the draw for lottery after registering online with their match preferences.
The press release also said, The winners from the random draw will be given an opportunity to buy tickets for the match they have opted for and will receive a payment link to complete their booking. The window to register will be open for seven days only, starting 25th February 2016. The entire process will be monitored and audited by a reputed auditing agency, to ensure transparency, fairness and efficacy. Also, to maximise participation, not more than 2 tickets per person can be purchased for any of the India matches, or either of the semi-finals or the final. For all the remaining matches, including all the women games (except the women`s semi finals and final), customers can purchase a maximum of 6 tickets per match.
