Chennai Collector Gu Govindaraj has mentioned that there will be uninterrupted power supply in the public examination halls.
Plus 2 public examinations will begin on 4th March and will go up to 1st April. Similarly the 10 examinations will begin on 15th March and will go up to 13th April.
A total of 51091 students will appear for Plus Two exams and 53548 candidates for the SSLC exams this year in the district, according to Collector.
Addressing a meeting of officials at the Collectorate here on Wednesday, he said that infrastructure and basic amenities would be provided at all examination centres. Uninterrupted power supply would be ensured to all centres. Mobile phones, modern wrist watches and calculators would not be allowed inside halls. Flying squads and special supervisors would be deputed, he added.
